Executive Director Jackie Roy, originally from California, has lived in the Vail area and Grand Junction for 20 years. She has over 20 years’ experience in hospitality, sales & marketing and management with seniors.
She enjoys the smile on seniors' faces and showing potential residents what we have to offer.
Jackie is a proud and very lucky mother of six amazing children, four girls and two boys, and has four beautiful grandchildren. She volunteered and taught snowboarding for 8 years in Vail and is active with her church. Jackie also volunteers with Snow Sports Outreach Society with students in Eagle County and with the Chamber in Mesa County.
Director of Sales and Marketing
Annie LeVan is the director of Sales and Marketing for Solstice Senior Living at Grand Valley. Annie’s professional background includes advertising, management, sales and being a true renaissance woman as she owned and operated Handi Annie home repair and remodeling.
Annie has had the privilege of being the local companion and caregiver of a great-grand parent, two sets of grandparents and both her husband and her own parents. She has been on the other side of working with senior living situations and understands this very complex journey. Annie is looking forward to the opportunity to share her personal experience and help others transition to senior living.
Annie has lived in Grand Valley for over 40 years where she raised her three children and is now a proud grandmother of two beautiful grandkids. Annie has a strong love for adventure and her and her family enjoy their time together camping, hiking, mountain biking and exploring the great outdoors. Their outdoor adventures have taken them to the summit of several 14ers (mountains over 14,000 ft in height) and to the shores of Lake Powell among many other places.
Business Office Director
Tanya May is the Business Office director for Solstice Senior Living at Grand Valley. Prior to joining the team, she worked with Mesa County and West Springs Hospital and most recently at The Residence at Grand Mesa as the Business Office manager. Tanya is originally from North Carolina but has lived in the Grand Valley for almost 29 years.
She has three grown children, one grandchild and two dogs that count as kids. Tanya enjoys hiking, walking, going to the gym, and spending time with her significant other and kids.
Culinary Services Director
Chef Seferino Apodaca, “Chef Sef,” was born in Fresno, California, and got into the service industry as a young boy, busing tables and helping around at a local mom-and-pop shop. Chef perfected his skills working with some of the best chefs from all over the country. Recently he was the chef at Community Hospital, as well as the executive chef and director of Culinary Services of Colorado Canyons Hospital of Fruita, Colorado. He brings his passion for food and is excited to share creative dishes. He shares seven children and seven grandchildren with the love of his life, Michelle.
Vibrant Life Director
Joey Long is a Colorado native and has lived in Grand Junction since he moved here in 2013. Joey has worked with Solstice since day one and has loved every minute of it! In his free time, you will rarely find him inside. Rather, he would be found more often outside hiking or camping in beautiful Colorado.
Building Services Director
Ty Sfat is the Building Services director for Solstice Senior Living at Grand Valley.
Ty is originally from Michigan but moved to Colorado in 2006 and has over 25 years of building maintenance experience. He is a master plumber and licensed in HVAC and refrigeration.
He likes to use his maintenance skills to create a safe, friendly and healthy environment for residents, staff and visitors here at Solstice at Grand Valley.
Ty is married with four boys and enjoys helping his boys with sports and schoolwork. He goes fishing whenever he can with his family. In the past, he was a high school football coach and still enjoys helping with weight training.
